What’s in my Makeup bag

I’ve always been a makeup girl. I have tried a little bit of everything and went through all the stages. The good, the bad and the tragically not blended makeup line. After fifteen years of practice I have my routine down to a science. I love to try something new. A new eyeshadow palette here and there maybe a new mascara but for the most part I am a creature of habit and the products I am going to share are my tried and true that no matter what I always go back to.

Lets talk face makeup first. I am a full coverage kind of girl. After years of dealing with adult acne and now covering my mommy under eyes I have gotten pretty good at hiding the undesirable. If you are a powder and go kind of girl, go you!

All items will be linked under the pictures!

Step One – THE FACE

You have probably seen every blogger talk about TULA skincare and for damn good reason. It has totally changed and saved my once difficult skin. I always begin my makeup routine with washing my face in my TULA cleanser. It doesn’t leave your face feeling dry and stiff after. Its so refreshing! https://www.tula.com/collections/all/products/purifying-cleanser
I don’t always use my day & night cream after I cleanse. If my face is feeling dry or feels like it needs that boost I will but days I plan to do a full face of makeup I typically skip straight to my TULA primer. (pictured next) The day & night cream is the only moisturizer I will use on my face. It will make your skin feel so hydrated! https://www.tula.com/collections/all/products/hydrating-day-night-cream
Probably my favorite TULA product is the blurring and moisturizing primer! As well as using this as my makeup primer I’ll add this to my face on makeup free days, even before I go to the gym in the mornings. It makes your face so smooth and is lightly tinted for that perfect glow. https://www.tula.com/collections/all/products/face-filter-blurring-moisturizing-primer
My other go to product is the cooling and brightening eye balm glow & get it! Nothing makes my mommy eyes feel more awake then is caffeine infused balm, it has a beautiful glow that gives your undereye that perfect highlight and the cooling effect feels so good on tired eyes. You can even use this mid day over your makeup to brighten your eyes. I will do a quick swoop then buff out the product with my fingers. https://www.tula.com/collections/all/products/glow-get-it-cooling-brightening-eye-balm
When I want to save some of my TULA primer my back up is the Becca black light primer. It is slightly tinted and gives your face a great glow while feeling light weight. https://www.ulta.com/backlight-priming-filter?productId=xlsImpprod12841033
The greatest of all time, you can not tell me different, holy grail foundation is the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. Nothing stays put on my face like my double wear, it will last all day when I work in the salon, sitting out in the heat at a ball game, it even withstands mom life. https://www.ulta.com/double-wear-stay-in-place-makeup?productId=xlsImpprod14641507
My concealer is my best friend and nothing compares to Tarte’s Shape Tape concealer. If you are covering mommy eyes or a blemish on your skin, shape tape always does the trick! I blend with a real technique sponge.https://www.ulta.com/double-duty-beauty-shape-tape-contour-concealer?productId=xlsImpprod14251035
To set my foundation I use Bare Minerals Mineral veil finishing powder. I like a light weight, light coverage loose powder to set my face because I do use a thicker, heavy coverage foundation. https://www.ulta.com/hydrating-mineral-veil-finishing-powder?productId=xlsImpprod1620083
The best blush I have found is the Nars blush in the shade Torrid. I love blush, I just think giving your cheeks that perfect pink tone really sets your makeup off! https://www.ulta.com/blush?productId=xlsImpprod15081842
The last step in my face routine is highlight. I use the Becca highlight in the shade Opal. I honestly only do the bridge of my noes very rarely will I do anywhere else. https://www.ulta.com/shimmering-skin-perfector-pressed-highlighter-mini?productId=xlsImpprod17771019

Step Two- BROW BUISNESS

I’ve used a little bit of everything when it comes to brows. I’ve been filling my fare shade brows since I can remember and I have not changed the product I use in a long time. My go to is the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow definer in shade Taupe. I like the definer better than the Anastasia Brow Wiz because of the shape of the head, I can create more natural looking hair strokes. https://www.ulta.com/brow-definer?productId=xlsImpprod13521149
I always set my brows with a gel, I tend to have hairs that stick up where I don’t want them to and the gel helps set the hairs just right. I use the Anastasia tinted brow gel in the shade Taupe. I used the clear gel until I found the tinted and have went tinted every since. I can actually just use this product alone on light makeup days and it looks great by itself. https://www.ulta.com/tinted-brow-gel?productId=xlsImpprod510006&_requestid=11141550

Step Three- ALL ABOUT THE EYES

Before I do any eyeshadow I always prime my eyes with the urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion. I think the primer not only keeps your eyeshadow where it needs to be all day long but it always makes the pigment in shadows more vibrant. https://www.ulta.com/original-eyeshadow-primer-potion?productId=xlsImpprod3330137
I love to try new eyeshadow palette but I have used the Tartelette Toasted palette for close to a year now and just love the shading for every season. The most used shades I use are Latte for my overall eye, Cozy for my crease and I always line my bottom with Fireside. When I want a pop I use Flame, Simmer or Sunset on my lid and blend into my crease.https://www.ulta.com/tartelette-toasted-eyeshadow-palette?productId=xlsImpprod17081379
I’ve been using the Bad Gal Bang mascara for the last few months and besides the name being a mouth full, I love it! The thin wand makes it super easy to get right against your eyelid and really pull your eyelashes up. https://www.ulta.com/badgal-bang-volumizing-mascara?productId=xlsImpprod17501079

Step Four- THE LIPS

In recent years I have become a big lipstick kind of girl. I think your makeup is unfinished until you add your lips and I never leave my house with a full face and no lip color. My go to lip color these days is the Tarte Color Splash hydrating lipstick in shade Salt Lyfe. https://tartecosmetics.com/en_US/makeup/lips/lipstick-liners/color-splash-lipstick/935.html?dwvar_935_color=pink%20lemonade%20%28white%20beige%29&cgid=makeup-lips-lipstick-lipliners#start=6

That’s everything I use on a daily bases in my makeup bag. Sometimes its a five minute face and sometimes I actually get to sit down for twenty minutes to do a full face (usually with a newborn attached to me and a toddler close by but we manage). I hope you try and enjoy these products as much as I do!
