My Favorite Fall Looks!

Sharing my favorite Fall looks and purchases so far, how to transitions your favorite Summer pieces into your Fall wardrobe and a few good sale pieces you need in your closet!

Let’s be honest if I could pick a season nine out of ten times I would choose Summer. Hair gets lighter, skin gets darker, beach vacations, lake days. What’s not to love? However when it comes to seasonal fashion. Fall all day y’all! The colors, the layers and all the cute boots. This time of year no matter how much I’m enjoying fun in the sun I start craving pumpkin spice and sweaters. So here is a little Fall round up to get you in the spirit of the season.

First off we all have Summer pieces we love and of course not every style or color with transition into the next season but here is how I styled a Summer dress three ways. One for Summer and two Fall options. Dresses are so easy you can throw a sweater or cardigan over, add some boots and you are ready for the pumpkin patch.

Look one is this Free People dress styled with Lucky Brand sandals and my TJ MAXX find purse that has been a summer favorite. The colors in this strappy light weight dress scream Fall and make it easy to dress up for the next season.
Look two is the perfect early Fall look when the temperature is still a little warmer. This light weight Free People sweater with the tie detail is a perfect transitional piece and my pointed toe heels are on trend for this seasons western vibes.
Look three is my favorite look. Same Free People dress with Free People’s perfect thermal sweater layered over, styled with my Vince Camuto boots I snagged from the Nordstrom sale. My Vici Dolls hat I’ve wore all Summer long and again has those perfect western vibes to go right into Fall.

If you are a Boho style loving girl like myself you have heard of Free People. You’ve probably also seen their price tag. I love their style not so much their price. However all three Free People items pictured above are all thrifted pieces. One of my favorite bloggers shared an online thrift store on Instagram. The blogger who recommended to check out the online thrift store is my go to girl. She never disappoints with items and places she shares. ThredUP is the largest online thrift store. This was my first and only order so far with ThredUP and I searched only for Free People items and they had pages on pages of items. If I can get those FP goodies for a deal I’m all about it. Here is what I paid for each item I purchased.

  • FP strapless dress I paid $14.99 original price $71.00
  • sweater in the second photo I paid $15.99 original price $71.00
  • We the Free thermal sweater in the third photo I paid $15.99 original price $58.00
  • Not pictured I also bought a heavy sweater for $32.99 original price was $128.00

With a 20% off discount code from my go to girl I spent $65.68 on not one but four FP pieces!! Check out ThredUP on Instagram. Also follow my favorite blogger for some great recommendations and discount codes Alexa Anglin. @alexa.anglin

This was another way I styled my FP thermal sweater. My cut off shorts are from Vici Dolls and the perfect mom length and don’t think those cut off shorts can’t carry right into the Fall. This is another great option for those warmer Fall nights. Perfect for a Friday night football game.
My next look top and bottom are from Abercrombie and mom win yesterday was the first time my shorts zipped comfortably! And my top is now on Sale! My mules are Jack Rogers and were a favorite in my closet last year and looking like they will continue to be.
Here is the top I am wearing above and is now on sale for $17.40 and don’t let anyone tell you you can not wear white after labor day. You don’t need that kind of negativity in your life!

Here are a few other items I’m loving from the Abercrombie sale!

I have at least four denim jackets so I had to really tell myself I did not need this. We will see if I can fight the urge. On sale now for $39.20
I love this boyfriend button down. On sale now for $17.40
I love this cropped wind breaker. On sale now for $35.20
Ordered myself these boyfriend fit jeans. On sale for $34.00
Also treated myself to these high rise white jeans. On sale now for $34.00

I never thought I would be shopping at Abercrombie again but I always find something I love and they are always having awesome sales! Check it out!

Another one of my favorite places to shop is Altar’d State. They have all the Boho vibes you’re looking for and one of my favorite places to shop for Fall.

This jumpsuit is the perfect style and color for your Summer and Fall closet. Add a denim jacket for those cooler Fall days and the added leopard belt is the perfect statement for your Fall wardrobe. Along with all the western vibes Fall is all about the leopard and snakeskin prints.

Shopping at chains is great but I’m a firm believer in supporting small business and to shop local as well. My next look is a skip- and a jump from my hometown locally owned boutique Rose and June. My girl Erica has incredible style and the cutest pieces for a good price. Check her out on Instagram shop_roseandjune !

This top has all the Fall vibes and is so light weight you could throw it on with a skirt or denim shorts for those warmer days. These pants are hands down my favorite thing in my closet right now. So freaking comfortable! Shop Rose and June for this look!

To round up my Fall haul here are some other items I have found to stock my closet with this season.

This Free People top is not thrifted but on the Clearance rack right now at Macy’s. Now on sale for 30.93. Original price 88.00
This Free People body suit is perfect for denim shorts and Fall skirts! Also on the Clearance rack at Macy’s for $11.96. Original price $48.00
These Free People shorts have all the 70’s vibes and now on sale at Macy’s for $46.80. Original price $78.00
These Frye boots are also on sale at Macy’s for $83.93. Original price $228.00. How perfect would these boots be with the Free People body suit and 70’s vibe shorts. Also those buckles have all the Western look you’ll need for Fall.
The last item I’m sharing are these Van sneakers with Leopard details. On trend for Fall and perfect for those more casual days. Also trending this fall is sneakers with skirts and dresses. How perfect would these be with a graphic tee and statement skirt?

That’s all for my favorite Fall looks and finds thus far. Enjoy your final days of Summer. I’ll be over here sweating it out in my sweater I’ve eagerly pulled out of the closet too soon. See ya soon Fall!
