Here is what is in our hospital bags.

L.L Bean large hunter’s tote

Our L.L Bean bag was shared & recommended by another blogger & she definitely did not let me down. Not just for our hospital stay but long after this bag will be a staple in our busy life with two under two. So much space! I have our boppy pillow, two heavy blankets for mama & baby, Banks felt announcement sign & a door hanger, with plenty of room to spare.

Vera Bradley Weekender travel bag

I purchased my Vera Weekender for our hospital stay with Miles & it’s name fits perfect. The Weekender. It holds everything you would need for a 2-3 day stay anywhere. Even for a over packer like myself.

Marley Lilly diaper bag

Our Marley Lilly diaper bag is actually my husbands favorite. He loves that the wipes are easy to access in the side pocket that includes a wipe holder with zipper pouch perfect for creams, lotions etc. I own several diaper bags & since becoming a mom a diaper bag is your new purse so they change with the seasons or mama’s mood. This was also the bag I purchased after picking our second boys name. I wanted something with both boys initials.

Walmart shirt, short & robe. So comfy & nursing friendly!

Target pajama set. I actually had to bag these early because I wanted to wear them daily!
My coming home outfit is this super comfy Z Supply romper perfect for lounging. Nursing friendly as well! The romper is from Posh Boutique in London KY.
Felt board from Hobby Lobby we will use for his birth announcement.

We only packed a couple diapers because the hospital supplies diapers during your stay but for cute reference check out how tiny these newborn diapers are next to my pretty small hands. I swear you forget your babies being that small!
Swaddle blanket with name is from Caden Lane, Carter’s gown with hat & gloves & Pat Pat from Ryan & Rose.
Newborn Nest set includes heavier blanket (not pictured) swaddle blanket, burp cloth, fitted crib sheet for hospital crib, gown & hat. The Newborn Nest was created by a nurse & has a cute story behind her idea for all you would need for your newborn’s stay in the hospital. Blue Pat Pat pictured is also from Ryan & Rose.
This adorable set was made by Southern Girl’s Closet a boutique right in downtown Pineville. Check them out!
Gown & hat was a gift & the gown is magnetic (no snaps)! Flannel blanket made by my mother-in-law.

Jared is responsible for his own bag which will in fact take him three minutes to pack. For a week vacation he usually packs the night before in under thirty minutes. How? He says I over think packing but don’t all women? So this post is for all my fellow overthinking over packers. I hope this helps you!

Update on baby Banks. I am 37 weeks & 1 day. We had a check-up today & everything is progressing well. If he does not come on his own I will be scheduled a induction date at my next appointment. The countdown is officially on!

  1. I am definitely reading your list of what to pack while packing my hospital bags! After over 7 years I was struggling with what all to pack!
